As I write this post, it is Tuesday morning.
John and I have waited since Saturday night for news about our baby.
I started bleeding on Saturday night.
The experience continued through the weekend and into Monday. I won’t describe it in detail.
I had blood tests on Monday. The results we got this morning confirmed the worst.
It was a miscarriage.
The baby I had already begun to love is gone.
I feel rather empty, in more ways than one.
I need to go hold my son very tightly and be held very tightly by my husband.
I may not post for awhile – not sure. I appreciate your patience and understanding while I carefully fold another Swan.

I am so sorry. This is one case where I can say I do know how bad that can be. Be sad. It is OK. I am always sad every year in April because I had a miscarriage on 4-4-04. I will never forget it. crap…I’m so sorry, it does hurt. I had a miscarriage between my 1st and 2nd sons, very early on, but I went on to have #2 and then #3 without incident (unless you count early deliveries). You’ll need the time to grieve but soon you can try again. Good luck.

Lotus – I am sooo sorry for your loss. I am in the process of trying to heal from our miscarriage too (4-13-2008), and it hasn’t been easy but it is getting a little easier every day. I know that sounds horrible and maybe even impossible right now, but even though it’s only been a little over two short weeks for us, there has been much grieving and much healing. We will never forget (no, never!), but we are learning how to live again. I was 10-weeks exactly when it happened. E-mail me if you want.

There is this book – “Let’s have healthy children”, by Adele Davis, which you can order on Amazon. There is nutritional info in there which a friend of mine who miscarried a number of times started to follow and it got her body good and strong to carry a baby, which she was finally able to do. Might help.
