well, shorter or longer as hotter, i can’t say. i’ve had both. my long hair was pretty…. and pretty much a pain in the ass. but it’s really thick and heavy and tended towards frizzy– so either i had to spend 2 hours blow drying it straight, or try to scrunch it up curly… either way it always ended up “up” in a clip of some sort. i went for the old halle berre short cut a couple of years ago and i LOVE it. 3 min to blow dry, a little goo, and i’m out the door. it’s off my neck and out of my face, and a little spiky/flippy/fun, yet still professional (enough).

I’m a fan of long hair on myself for two reasons:
A. My hair is super curly and I have a major ‘fro problem if it is cut too short by someone who doesn’t know my hair (I have yet to have a haircut in Belgum, nor do I plan to unless something like gum gets stuck in it)
B.Short hair cuts can make a person look heavier if they’re already heavy. Some heavy people can carry it off but I can’t.

Anyway, from what I’ve seen of you (and I watched you drop your pants so I’ve seen plenty) you’re not even close to what I weigh and your hair isn’t afro curly so short should be safe for you. Although short cuts often need more styling, but I think it’s be a cute look for you.

I really have way too much to say about it for someone who gets her trimmed 4 inches twice a year.

Lilacspecs said it for me. Short hair needs styling. If you’re prepared to spend time with trimming,shaping, styling several times a year, then that’s for you. And I think it would suit your face. If like me, you can’t be bothered, grow it long, tie it back and waltz out the door. With your whole face open to the world. I plan on never visiting a hairdressing salon again. For the rest of my life. I don’t even colour my hair anymore. I’m letting the grey take over.

I’ve always been told “Never cut your hair–it’s gorgeous” but this waist-length mess is coming off this summer or fall–I’m doing costumed roleplay at 2 anime conventions and it won’t go under the wigs. So, sexy or not, it’s going.

I think it’s not the length that is hot, but the cut itself. Generally, I find well-executed asymmetrical cuts with lots of layers and texture to be sexiest.

I have been DYING to try short hair. But my husband (and nearly every other man I know) says long hair is sexier… probably because they don’t actually have to do it.

Longer. It doesn’t have to be too long…. chin length is fine. I had my hair REALLY SHORT once and it looked like crap. And I had to do it everyday. And I am not good with doing my hair everyday. Longer hair gives you the option of throwing it in a pony tail or simply combing it through. Short hair does not.

Funny you should mention hair cuts. I just went to a “Muffins with Moms” event at my son’s kindergarten class. The little girl next to my son had the cutest haircut – really cute. I asked her well-to-do mom where she got it. She went into great detail about searching for the perfect cut and person for this particular style. She gave me the name of the haircut (who knew haircuts had names?). I wrote it down. So if you decide that you are going to go short, try this out: an inverted bob with a stacked back. I think you would like it.

For me, personally:

short hair = I feel sassier, stronger, spunky.
long hair = I feel prettier, more feminine.

BUT, a short, no fuss hair-do ROCKS as a mom.

I tend to be so tired in the morning, I throw my hair up in a pony tail 99.0% of the time when it’s long enough. I don’t have time to mess around with it.

I currently have a tapered bob. It is short on the neck…they had to shave a bit of fuzz off even, however, the sides angle out to about chin length. I can blow dry it out quickly in the AM OR be lazy and clip up the sides. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it and it seems to be the best of both worlds for me.

I think your face is perfectly suited to shorter styles. The only problem is that you can do less with it but with a toddler what mother has time to do anything with her hair anyway?

I wear my somewhat long hair clipped up. last night Jensen decided to take out the hair clip which would have been fine but then he grabbed 2 big handfuls of hair and pulled with all his might. Who would have thought a 16-month old could inflict so much PAIN? I may be going short myself very soon!
