Haiku Friday, #4

Once again, my lovelies, it’s Haiku Friday!

Haiku Friday

Just recently, John and I watched the movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”

This movie? Is amazing. I highly recommend it. It’s insanely deep and makes you seriously think (if you have a brain in your head and a heart in your chest).

I wrote these haiku after watching that movie, and reflecting on the choices we make in and for love.

Spin out of control
The eager mind wandering
Dare I bring it back?

    Nice haiku, Great film.

  7. #7 by Patois on November 9, 2007 - 7:22 AM

Great series of ku. Sorry to say that I wasn’t a big fan of the movie. Remember, though, I’m old so most of it probably went over my head.

  8. #8 by Kelly on November 9, 2007 - 7:26 AM

That was a wonderful film, and one that, after viewing, I had to just sit there and continue to take it in.

    Great haiku!

    Lost loves to forget?
mem’ry gone, and just like that,

  12. #12 by Junebug on November 9, 2007 - 8:55 AM

Nice Haiku. I haven’t seen the movie though.

  13. #13 by Bill on November 9, 2007 - 9:17 AM

That’s so weird. I commented on Sarah’s page over at Imaginaey Binky and rewrote her post as a haiku….then I got to your page and saw you were doing Haiku Friday?

This is what I wrote over there:

    You kids quiet down
Be a dear. Fetch me some Booze
    Mom has a headache

    I call it Imaginary Drinky.

There’s an amazing song based on Eternal Sunshine by a band called Dexter’s Moon. The song is Goldfish Memory. I’ll post it on NaBloPoMo later.

Whew! That’s some deep haikuin’. Well done.

P.S. I’ve apparently started some kind of stalking war over who lurvs you most.

P.P.S. Just so you know? It’s me.

P.P.S.S. Not to be creepy or anything?

    Riiight.

Veronica – Thanks! That movie will make you laugh and cry. Get ready.

Secret Agent Mama – I wante to see it forever, and when I finally did my mouth just hung open (while I cried). Namaste!

Toni – Don’t ya just LOVE Netflix?

Kara – Thankers… Jim Carey really is the great actor people didn’t expect him to be.

    Jennifer – Wasn’t it a mind-blower???

Stephen – Thanks, and yes it was!

Patois – Tis okay, my friend. Variety is the spice of life, after all. :-) Don’t worry, I also loved Punch Drunk Love and everyone (almost) that I’ve told that to acted like I was a freakin’ tard.

Kelly – John and I couldn’t stop talking about it. Days later, he would bring it up again, and we would gush about it, sighing heavily.

Sarah Jackson – most of the time I just make people wonder if the Sanitarium door got left open. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Thursday’s Child – THAT was EXCELLENT.

Janet – get a box of tissues handy. For serious.

Junebug – put it in queue, my friend.

Bill – see, dude, we have this mental connection. Soon, you will be under my complete control.
And “Imaginary Drinky?” good lord. Could you be any more intelligent mixed with hilarious? Shee-aw.

    Serina – thanks, babe!

HH – Shhh, but I’m enjoying it.
Also… you inspired a fight over who gets to HAVE you as a stalker… check out Dawn224’s comment on yesterday’s post. Hehe… Jenna Fischer… teeheeheee….

  18. #18 by ~JJ! on November 9, 2007 - 10:46 AM

  19. #19 by Yo Mama Mishi Stalker on November 9, 2007 - 11:11 AM

OK, HH, I thought it was all in good fun and now it’s WAR! You just wait. When you least expect it. BAMMO!

Sorry, beautiful Lotus! I don’t mean to leave threats on your haiku post.

    HH: BRING IT!

    Those are beautiful, haunting.
I loved that film. I tend to enjoy Jim Carrey more when he’s not so funny. Kate Winslet is always awesome. But that film, so different, really makes you think, in a good way.
    Thanks for those.
