He Changes, Yet He Stays The Same

Most of the time I’m blown away by how much Braden changes, constantly. My little baby became a little boy almost overnight, and he’s constantly pulling new things out of his hat.

But has he really changed all that much?

  • So…how is that toilet paper conservation project going?!

My 3 year old recently flushed an entire roll down. Clogged. Realized that we didn’t own a plunger. Actually borrowed our neighbor’s. Gross.

  • Wait. Wait until the first time he poops out a REALLY big one and then comes to find you and says, “Mommy, come look.” And you, of course, have no idea what he’s up to. But you realize, with a growing horror, he’s taking you , by the hand, to the BATHROOM, from which this insidious reek is beginning to emanate.

First time, it’s funny. The FIRST time.

  • You know what amazes me — it’s not that Braden has changed or hasn’t changed, but that you took that picture. I would have thought, much later after having had my fit, I should have taken a picture of that — not once, but twice. You took the picture twice. You rock as a mother!
