There was a boy in my daycare and his parents refused to cut his hair. He was 4 and everyone still thought he was a girl. Really, it was awful and it got in his eyes and got all full of paint and other nasty kiddy stuff and nose goo and bleh. They finally had a baby girl this April so I hope they finally cut it.

But anyway, yeah, I’m sure it was a little hard but I bet he feels sooo much more comfortable now!

Awww! how adorable! When I had my first (2) boys hair cut almost 13 yrs ago…they’ll be 15 in 2 mths, I was the same way. J had long curls in the back, big round spirals so cute, he was baby faced and cuddly. 10 minutes later no curls and instant little boy. It’s amazing what one little snip of the scissors can do. Now they’re bigger than me, think they’re grown but in my mind….mama’s babies!

OMG. You shrunk your husband. He totally looks like a mini-me of his daddy now.

I hated to cut Noise’s hair for the first time. I think he rocked that baby mullet until the very last minute– same sort of thing, long blonde wispy curls in the back. When we cut it, I was unexplainably bereft, missing his baby days.

He looks adorable. He looks like a boy. He’s going to be a lot less annoyed and sweaty this summer without all that hair. And you’ll be thankful. He’s getting to be about the age where boys start to have a certain “boy funk” and the hair cut will help with that. It happened way earlier than I thought, but that funk showed up before he was even two. Stinky boys!

i love getting my little guy’s hair cut… i just love how it makes him look a little more grown up with each trim… i love that it reminds me to revel in the fact that he isn’t grown up yet… it reminds me to smooch him all over now because when he drives himself over to get a haircut after school on his way to work he won’t let me smooch and tickle him when he gets home… braden’s new haircut is adorable! smooch him all over!

Been there with both my kids. The first haircut is always so emotional. He totally looks like a big guy now. This is the first of many firsts!!
