After 3 miscarriages this past year and 2 D&C's, I finally made it far enough to have a 1st trimester screening done last week. After the doctor did his ultrasound and completed all the measurements, he turned on the doppler and we listened to the baby's heartbeat for my first time. I couldn't help myself and started bawling. I'm starting my 2nd trimester tomorrow and am finally admitting to people that I'm not just fat I'm actually pregnant... and boy does it feel like a weight has lifted from my shoulders.
