In fact, I had a woman come up to me once and carry on a conversation with me. I recognized her face but couldn't remember her name. Finally, I just came right out and asked her, "What's your name? I can't remember." Of course she told me and then went on chatting as if it didn't bother her. Now my husband teases me when someone comes up and starts talking to me. He tells them, "Don't worry, if she doesn't remember your name, she'll ask.
