lol haiku
i’m in ur playdate
needn mah medz so cud u
make me laff sum more?
I had a fabulous time yesterday hangin’ out with Alli at our playdate. Her house, her family, and her face are all beautiful! She made me laugh a lot, and since I’m still sans meds, that does a depressed momma so much good. I’m literally counting down the days until I can go back and see her again.
PS: I highly recommend Mommy Blogger Playdates. Veronica and I were thinking that we need to see if there’s some sort of Mommy Blogger Playdate Service. Kind of like a Dating Service – but instead of finding you a date, it sets you up with other Mommy Bloggers in your area for playdates. How cool would that be? Then you could be having this much fun>

Waiting to hear back
Why don’t you jerks just call me?
I’m still feeling nuts.
Yes. I have STILL not heard back on the thyroid tests from last Friday! HELLO!? As we all know, an unmedicated thyroid problem can literally kill you, so I hope I don’t die before they give me my results. Maybe I should be more assertive, like this. If they don’t call soon, I’ll be able to add anxiety to my list of malfunctions.

I can totally relate. I’m on thyroid medication and before it was discovered that mine was bad… I was exhausted and actually hurt. I was cold all the time. All of this is an easy fix with medication so hang in there!

Veronica
They still haven’t called you? bastards.
I had to chase for over a week to get the results (is it bad that I keep typing resluts?) of my first bloods. Obviously the patients aren’t important to them, it’s not like we pay for their fancy cars or anything…
Oh yeah, a Mummy blogger playdate hotline. Dial-a-playdate. Sounds good, now all I need to do is actually convince other Tassie Mums that blogging is not evil or bad for you.

My oldest daughter is on medication for her underactive thyroid and had to go through several dosage adjustments, but she’s feeling much better than a year ago. You could try what my mum once did. She threatened to get her sleeping bag and camp out in the doctor’s office until he got her results. Amazing how fast he found her file and read the findings to her.

And the mommy blogger playdate hotline? If there isn’t one why not set one up. Between you and Veronica I’m sure you can come up with an awesome site.
Secret Agent Mama
I’d so sign up for that Mommy Blogger Playdate Service, bless my heart (WINK WINK).

You obviously know the pictures I would like to see from this playdate. Please send to me under separate cover and wrapped in plain brown paper. I saw you tagged me for a meme of some sort. You’ll pay for that.

You crazy gal – that playdate does look therapeutic, in a somewhat disturbing way…
I’m having doctor woes myself; I guess they are all on vacation. (That’s one of the things I heard yesterday.) What were we thinking, needing medical attention during the holidays?
Hope you hear back soon.
MP
Looks like TOO much fun. Now I’m not a mommy..but a step mommy..would I still be eligible for a playdate? Could I rent a child?
LOL…

I think that is a terrific idea! I would totally help. You guys are so smart. Except I’m pretty sure there is no one in the vicinity…apparently you’re all way to smart to live in Iowa. hmmm….
Hydes
PS– hope you hear back today on those tests. Waiting sucks. Fingers are crossed that you won’t drop dead. (too soon? sorry. that was inappropriate).

love the haiku. lookin forward to doing blog365 with ya!

A playdate hotline could be cool, as long as it’s not like those commercials you see on TV after 11pm – “Hot mommybloggers in your area are waiting to talk to you!”

I”m so jealous. When are you 2 coming up to Seattle?! Well. Maybe wait until you have some drugs. You could share and then we’d have a REAL party on our hands.

That sounds like a great idea, if I had kids, which I don’t…yet. This sound totally stalky (yes, I like to make up words) but there are so many bloggers I would love to meet in person. Maybe one day I’ll go to blogher…

**whining** I want a play date, too! All the other bloggers get to do it and I don’t! It’s not fair! **bottom lip poking out and arms crossed**
What the hell’s up with the doc not getting back in touch? I think they (as in all docs) are superior asshats with God complexes who get off a little too much on lording over us with things like this.
Hope it all works out and SOON!

There’s nothing like ‘hanging’ with like-minded moms – glad you had such a great time.
I agree, we should try to organize some sort of way to get more of us together!
