I feel as if the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk grabbed one of my nostrils with both hands, stretched it out in unfathomable ways, and climbed inside my face. Then he took a dump… and died.
Yes. I’m sick.
So here I am typing to you, and I’m wondering if the cold medicine will allow me to finish this post before my head slams into the keyboard and I fill it with the Drool of Deep Slumber.
Dawn’s latest Showin’ off on Saturday Challenge was to name the “Top Five Songs That _____ ….” (fill in the blank). I’m going to twist this a bit. Because I have a problem following the rules. Unless they’re mine.

Sorry you’re sick. I just heard about a study that said if you put vicks vapo rub on your feet and then put socks on, it will suppress a cough for several hours. So… if that head cold heads south, give it a try.

We were always amazed/impressed/horrified by his descriptions. And it is recently come to my attention that I’m beginning to follow in his footsteps.

I feel your pain, Lotus. This crappy cycle of cold & snowy, warm spell with rain, followed by more cold and snow has wreaked havoc on every immune system in the house. I’m starting into my third cold of the winter, which seems to be in my snot factory AND my throat. Ugh. My voice has dropped an octave since Thursday and I’ll on schedule to turn into Barry White by Monday.
The last two videos have been taken down, unfortunately.

Just crawled out from under a three day stomach bug- you have my undying sympathy. At least I could keep it together until I got mine off to school each morning and then collapse back into bed for another 6 hours.
If Braden pees on your sick bed bed maybe we can get another “what does it look like” game.
I adore Sarah Silverman, rented her DVD when I didn’t have real tv last summer, She is hilarious.

I just got into a friendly argument with someone about the merits of the Beatles. I love them and the other person likes “a song or two.” GRRRR. I was happy to see them on here.
If you do like the Beatles, immediately go out and rent “Across the Universe.” It’s a musical with all Beatles songs. Fantastic.

I was sick earlier this week and decided to try the Zicam, since a bloggy friend swears by them (and did a commercial for them, too). It works. I just have a little stuffiness because all the family drama kept me from using it for a day.

What the hell do you mean flirts the country line? That’s country! I mean, do you hear the fiddle – it could almost be bluegrass! Don’t fight it. Everybody has @ least one country song they like, even if it’s just Rawhide.
And my kids have given you their stamp of approval for Here Comes the Sun. They love the Beatles. Like seriously, I cannot tell you how my everyday is completely absorbed in Beatlemania thanks to them.

Dude, lots of love coming from here. I’ve got swamp-water head myself. Totally full of it. I don’t have a neti pot, but I’ve heard of it, so I used one of those bulb syringes earlier today to clean out my sinuses with warm salt water. Gross but effective. I do feel a bit better. Might be worth a try. Also? Sleep. hugs…
