My Favorite F Word!

“FREE!”

After having authored a website for some time, I’ve found I am offered the opportunity to do product giveaways for my readers from time to time (like this and this). This is a nice thing, because… Who Doesn’t Like Free? Hence, the name of the site, of course.

I wanted to be able to do these giveaways, but I didn’t want them to clog my regular website and drive away readers. So that is the point of this website.

In addition to “freebies,” this is also a good place for me to give my honest opinions about products I use. From time to time I really want to say something about a product I’ve had a personal experience with. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Either way, if I think it’s helpful, I’ll post it here. And hey… it’s free!

In order to kick off the website, I’d like to offer something that I’ve been using myself this summer – a package of Huggies Little Swimmers Swim Diapers and a Huggies Summer Fun Package.

These are the swim diapers that we used for Braden the very first time he ever entered a pool.

They are the only ones we have used since then. Braden seems to find them comfortable, and they do the job well.

Many of you know that I cloth diaper Braden, but disposable swim diapers are still an easier and more inexpensive option for us considering how many times we actually use them and how quickly he would outgrow the cloth version. I also received a great tip from Drea that they wash well, and she was right! You can actually wash these out and re-use them if you want to lessen the negative impact on the environment.

The Fun Package also includes 2 different types of children’s sunblock (spray and lotion) and sun exposure stickers. The sunblocks are excellent – I especially like the spray because it smells yummy (berry!) and it is so much easier to get on a wiggly kid when he’s being impatient! The stickers help you monitor how long your child has been in the sun, and will change color to let you know sunblock needs to be reapplied. A great help for the “Mommy Brain!”

For the enjoyment of your little one, the package includes an inflatable beach ball, a toy bucket, and a rake/shovel sand toy. Free toys = awesome!

The diapers and fun package have really been a life saver around here during summer fun outings.

I just subscribed!
I have to tell you I used Huggies for a long time, the swim diapers, and I was getting all of these coupons for pampers splashers so I decided to try them. BIG, HUGE MISTAKE! I put one on my daughter about two weeks ago. She hadn’t been in the pool or anything yet and had been wearing the swim diaper for MAYBE 5 minutes. The stupid splasher leaked ALL OVER the floor! It didn’t absorb any pee! I was SO PISSED! (No pun intended!) We’re done with pampers, diapers, swim diapers, wipes, all of it!!

I never win ANYTHING. But I love free stuff. So, I subscribed via e-mail AND I put a link at the top of my website, too.

I had no idea you could reuse those swim diapers – I’m a cloth diaper mom, too, but yeah, kids grow like weeds, so the disposables are much more handy.

Me, I like free! Do these swim diapers come in sizes? I have a swimsuit with little training pants inside for my man, but it might be nice to have diapers so I don’t have to worry about the possibility of poo!
