It’s no secret that I love taking photographs. It is rare that a day goes by without me utilizing my camera. Photographs are important for so many reasons – they help you reflect, notice the world around you, and often most importantly, they help you capture memories to relive later.

Because photographs can encapsulate a moment in time, viewing them later can elicit strong emotions. It is for this reason that adding photos to gifts adds such great value to them.

I recently created several photo gifts using Snapfish.com, and it was my first time trying out the services of that website.

The site is fairly easy to navigate. I only got hung up a couple of times when I was looking through links to find something specific. And let’s face it: with a toddler screaming in your ear off and on again about such things as “Pee-Pee, uh-oh!” and “THOMAS, WATCH THOMAS!” it’s kind of hard to concentrate anyway, so it may have been more my issue than the website.

For about $50 (including tax & shipping) I was able to purchase 5 photo cards, 2 photo magnets, and an absolutely adorable photo collage mousepad. In one fell swoop I almost entirely covered both Mother’s Day AND Father’s Day for my husband, father, mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Now THAT is what I call SUPER FREAKIN’ AWESOME.

mousepadcreate

Creating my custom photo collage mousepad was easy and fun!

The products arrived very quickly, and everything is really beautiful. The cards arrived packaged carefully, and all the photos and printing are crisp and great looking. I adore the fact that I was able to have return addresses pre-printed on the envelopes – it looks really lovely.

The photo magnets are so amazing – this is the perfect way to add photos to your kitchen without the hassle of frames. Just slap the magnet on the fridge! My mother and mother-in-law are going to love them.

And the mousepad? Well, it’s for my dad, and for one evil second I thought I might have to keep it for myself! What a super cool gift. Personalize it with whatever is special to the person you’re gifting, and it’s an immediate win.

There are plenty of options at the site for fabulous Father’s Day gifts. Remember that it’s coming up on June 21st! Order by June 13th to get your gifts delivered on time.

Desk Organizer
Playing Cards
Golf Towel
Frosted Stein
Collage Mousepad
Apron
Square Key Chain
Photo Panels
Collage Posters
Books of any size 8×8, 8×11, leather or custom covers

And don’t forget the cards! Lots of designs are available, so you’re sure to find something just right for the guy you have in mind. And creating them is a lot of fun.

What an awesome giveaway Lotus! This is right up my alley! I could write you an essay/book about my dad & his importance in my life but I’ll keep it short, for space’s sake ;)

My mom, as much as I love her & need her in my life & my children’s lives, is an alcoholic (VERY much in denial & won’t admit she has a problem). My Dad has ALWAYS been there for me & my sisters & has been our ROCK. He has all the personality traits we admire: compassion, caring, humorous, loving~the list could go on & on. I guess what I’m trying to say is, basically, my Daddy is THE BEST & I wouldn’t be who I am today if not for him.

*I’d love to win this :) I already have ideas for my Daddy & for hubster for Father’s Day :)

Most awesometastic father? My grandpa. Had his leg amputated from diabetes when I was 3 months old, he built me a dollhouse. From scratch. Out of oak. While he was rehabbing. My house could be on fire and I’d drag that out on my back.

It’s not that he made me something cool, it’s that HE MADE it. He was this burly monosyllabic farmer who created freaking beauty with his bare hands. For me. Big luff.

Greatest dad ever is my dad. Absolutely my biggest champion in life. One fierce up-and-comer in the dad department is my husband to our 18-month-old daughter. I have no doubt that she may one day echo my words about my dad in regards to her own dad. My dad is my greatest supporter, always interested and encouraging in whatever direction life takes me, funny, generous, creative, quirky, best person ever. He’s my rock.

My ‘real’ father is largely absent from my life, so my step-father is the best dad. He’s a little rough around the edges, but that just gives him character.

My husband is the greatest dad. He is to my kids what I always wished my dad would have been to me!

My dad wasn’t always a great dad but he was a great man. And despite his failings in the father department, I learned some really great things from him. The most important thing he gave me was my sense of humor. It definitely gets me in trouble at times but the ability to choose laughter (through inappropriate black humor or blatant sarcasm) over tears has gotten me through some ugly times.

But my husband? Is the best dad I can imagine. He is so amazing (and I’m not just saying that because for mother’s day he encouraged me to spend money we shouldn’t have spent for me to go hang out with some college friends for the weekend while he stayed home with the girls).

My dad has to be the best father evah.
    Bless his heart.
My dad turned 67 last week on May 6. He really should retire from over the road trucking – but – he LOVES it.. he loves his Wife and his children and his God equally as much. Both of my parents are also preachers and frequently visit New Mexico and give clothing and furniture to the people on the reservations there..

My dad is so kind and giving and Happy. I remember my dad teaching me how to write a check out and balance a check book at 10 years old. He often let me write the check for the offering at church at 7 am on Sunday mornings as we sat and sipped on coffee. Yes, My dad introduced that vice to me. But I love it.. and I always associate coffee with my daddy.

oh.. I could go on and on about my dad.. but.. I think MY dad is the best dad eveh!

Lotus, you are gonna get my waterworks going on this.

My dad is such an amazing man. He has worked incredibly hard all his life to give my sister and I a wonderful life. He demanded that we succeed. I never have considered not being the best I can be. My sister and I have both done well for ourselves, and I know this is due to my father.

He is such a great friend, too. He was over just last night and I had an absolute ball just hanging out and laughing with him.

He is my daddy and an awesome friend.

My husband is a great dad to our kids. He’s hands on – playing with them, reading stories at bedtime, giving them baths, etc. He even changed diapers on a regular basis when they were small. Love that he’s so hands on.

I look at my husband as the best dad in my life. He is a rock-he loves our girls and he makes sure that they know it. He does for them what my biological dad never did for me. My husband encourages the girls, he gave up his dreams of being a doctor (and having a full ride to college to join the Navy to support Giggles and I) He may not always be here physically because he is working his ass off for us-but I know that his heart is in the right place.

My own dad, without a doubt. I grew up thinking that all men were just like him – strong, helpful, kind, caring. I wish they all really were.

The most important Dad in my life is my husband. He is a wonderful Father to our four kids, but what makes me appreciate him the most is that he is not just a great Dad, but also a good husband , I know that he is setting a great example for not only my 3 sons, but also my daughter who is the youngest. I know our boys will grow up and become great husbands and Dad’s just like he is because he shows them that he respects, values and loves me everyday. I hope my daughter learns that she should expect no less from her husband too :)

My husband is an awesome father to our son, and over the past year–since he graduated law school and spends a lot more time at home!–their relationship has grown so much closer. I love watching them together and knowing that my son is looking up to the best man I have ever known.

My husband, while not a father in the biological sense, has been a wonderful dad to my two daughters and now our two granddaughters. In his work life, he’s a school bus driver so he’s a surrogate dad to about one hundred other children — some of which have gaping holes where dads are usually expected to reside. He has amazing instincts and, while not loving diaper and barf duty, has risen to the occasion nobly. He’s a wonderful dad in all senses of the word.

My dad is great because technically he is my stepdad, although I have never known another dad! He took me on as his own when I was little and we never think differently.

I wish I had better appreciated my dad when I was younger. We were never very close, mainly due to his mental illness. I always felt like he didn’t care, but as I have matured, I realize he does care and tries hard to show, he just can’t do it the way I expected.

I didn’t meet my biological father until I was 21, and that’s because I dragged his name out of one of my aunts and tracked him down. He didn’t even know I existed! It’s been 9 years since then, and I have appreciated every Father’s day since then, because it’s a way to show him that I have been thankful for having him in my life these last nine years.

The most important father in my life is my husband, Justin. We’ve been together for almost 10 years, married for almost 6 and our son just turned 3. I love watching Justin play with Sam, and he’s a supportive husband and a great father to Sam. I love watching how much he loves his son, and knowing that Sam will know that he was loved because Justin is able to express it outwardly.

my husband is the most awesome father. in the six years we have been married, he has been more father to my four children than their father ever was.

he does not distinguish between his child and my children. they are ALL his.

and i love him more for it every day.

All this reviewing of blogs about Snapfish and dads has got me misty eyed. I miss my dad (biological) whom passed away 10 years ago. But I am fortunate to have a step-dad for the past 25 years who means the world to me and my kids. And what better way to celebrate Father’s Day than showering them with gifts from Snapfish. These are gifts to be treasured for years to come just like dad’s are to be cherished.

    Wishing you a scent-sational day!

My dad has been spending one day a week at my house since last fall when he was laid off from his job. He helps out with my toddler and we have had a chance to get to know each other so much better than ever before. I love hearing his stories of his childhood and young adulthood, as well as his perspective on our lives. It has made a negative situation for him, positive. My son adores his pop, too!
