The light is faith and hope.

Today’s Photohunt Theme is “Road”
Looking Ahead While Moving Forward

I took that photo about a year ago. It’s been quite a long year, and yet, in the moment, it seems to have passed in the blink of an eye. The road was long and winding. A lot of it was uphill. There were definitely potholes. Once, I even hit a sinkhole. It felt like I would never escape that. It left me with some scars I’ll carry with me always, but I think I’ve climbed out of the hole now. And we’re driving ever onward.
The road may have been a rough one, true… But there were enough fun and thrilling curves to ride, and the number of speed bumps was low enough that, well… the light you see up ahead in that picture?
Well, I still see it, too.

That is an awesome photo. Hope you enjoy every part of the journey.

beautiful. i am currently in one of those sinkholes. i know i will come out of it, but i wonder who i will be when i emerge. the same me i know…but battered and bruised for sure. the funny thing is i wouldn’t go back and change the thing that put me here. not for anything. sigh. life is a long road. that’s a good thing.

Rough roads seem hard at the time, but when you look back on the ride, you’re usually glad you didn’t choose the smooth bland way.

great picture. this year has been filled with potholes and speed bumps for me and my family; but it seems for all the bad, there is still a LOT of good and for that I am thankful. thanks for showing me the light

Love the commentary on the road. We have all travel it or some version of it. I’ve been on the *road* a long time and no matter how rough or tough it became there was always light at the end calling me forward, guiding me — Praise God. Now I don’t usually ask people to come over to my blog, but today I want to invite you over. I think you might like what my take on *road* is. and if you will just say “hi” so I’ll know you dropped by.

Just have to keep reminding ourselves that no matter how bumpy the road is at this moment, there is not only light up ahead, but light all around us as well.
Love you!
